After 6 hours of travel I arrived back in Snowy Minnesota. Minus the Snow. Brown Christmas but at least it will be with family and friends near and dear to my heart. Happy Holidays everybody!

Yes they do have hockey in Texas. A “minor” league team for the MN Wild. And I even had a native Texan to enjoy the game with.

UT San Antonio Med School

I was fortunate enough to be offered a last minute interview at UT San Antonio right before I headed home for the Holidays. I loved the school, enjoyed my interviews, and got the chance to see the Alamo. A little slice of Texas history….. yeah. The Alamo. Texas.

New siding, new windows, new basement floor after the flood, etc, etc, etc…….. home is still under construction and there appears to be no end to it. Oh well! when it’s all over it will look amazing

Summer Visit To MN

August was a great time in MN. We when to ball games, BBQ’d, partied, relaxed, and helped a bunch of monach butterflies hatch. Random I know but it was amazing to see the transformation from egg to butterfly. Check out the pics of two of our larva!

In Memory of Harmon Killebrew

Harmon Killebrew, a MN Twins legend and Hall of Famer passed away after battling esophageal cancer. He will forever be remembered as one of baseballs finest players. To me he seemed like the type of man I would want as a grandfather.

My favorite Killebrew moment on my first trip to the new stadium last spring:

Me: “Excuse me sir, are you Harmon Killebrew…?”

Killebrew: “Well people tend to say that. I just say I used to be.”

me: staring wide eyed like a kid in a candy store

Killebrew: “Would you like to take a picture together?”

Me: slowly nodding

Killebrew: “I would be an honor young lady.”
