From Pyramids to Parallels

Hi everyone! As most of you know I have left the country FOREVER! no only kidding.  I will be spending the fall term of 2009 and interim on the abroad trip of my dreams.   I never imagined spending my senior year of college traveling the globe away from my friends and family but that is exactly what has happened.

I will be traveling, learning, and absorbing the cultures from the Great Pyramids of Giza to the turbulent politics at the 38th Parallel.  (hence the site name….pyramidstoparallels…..get it?! I thought it was clever…..).  I have the opportunity to study politics, art, history, and religion surrounded by the people and cultures each discipline embodies.

I originally created this blog to help me stay in touch and allow you all to stay updated on my adventures while I was abroad. However it has turned into an untamed beast (not really) that I decided to keep around as I move on to my next great adventure after college!  I love you all for staying in touch and I hope while I am home or in various areas I can see your beautiful faces!
